I have just returned from having spent the nights of Sept 9-12 at Burleigh Court while attending the JVA conference. It was wonderful, but the staff was especially outstanding and I'd like to compliment you on the quality of the people, especially their pleasant, helpful attitude from the moment of arrival until the moment of departure, in every department. I was greeted warmly upon arrival, with a smile, and was told immediately that my enjoying my stay was the top priority, and not to hesitate to contact them for anything! Then, as I was going to my room, I became a bit confused about which way to go since I hadn't noticed the room # signs on the wall, and took the wrong hallway; one of your housekeeping staff noticed the confused look on my face and immediately asked me, with a lovely smile, if there was anything she could do to help me; she actually walked me to where I needed to be and explained how to get to my room! Another young man at the front desk saw the heavy bags I had and realized I had no idea how far the walk was so he drove me to the conference center after calling for a taxi and learning how long it would take to arrive; he pointed out he had some things he was going to be taking there at some point anyway, but to do it immediately to accommodate me really made an impression! But 3 other people need to be mentioned. I had twisted my ankle, and it was beginning to swell, so I went to the bar to see if I could get some ice. They not only responded immediately, but they also went to search for a proper "bag" -- one large enough to hold a significant amount of ice to last a while AND a bag that was water-proof so it wouldn't leak or drip on me! They also offered to take it to the room for me, which I appreciated but felt was unnecessary. But they ASKED! In fact, from the start, I couldn't help noting how helpful and pleasant EVERYONE was and how they did virtually everything with a smile. Such consistent behavior doesn't "just happen" -- it reflects on the management, and indicates management really cares, pays attention to the type of people they hire, and those they hire clearly get excellent training! Please let them know what a great impression they made, and let them know how much I appreciate it. It's a wonderful venue, in EVERY WAY!

Can I just say that I have had to stay at a few hotels in recent weeks. The Burleigh Court ‘experience’ was significantly greater and better than all of the others. I had huge confidence in the covid 19 countermeasures, and the state of hygiene and cleanliness was exemplary.

Thank you very much for the time you gave us both yesterday. Thank you too for your very kind and generous price for our Learning Extension Day for the Worshipful Company of Farmers Alumni Association. To this end, that clinched the deal and we would very much like to be with you in December and start the relationship hopefully over the years when we are able to grow. Please ink that date into your diary - and may I be so bold for you to pencil in the corresponding Wednesday for 2022 and why not 2023!? (7th and 6th).

Thank you once again - you gave us a great tour and time with you - the “can do, yes” and positive atttitude made the difference that we could work together. As a former hotelier in London it is very much noted and I am grateful.

It was a great party, the food was incredible, and their staff are always so polite and lovely 🙂

I can only echo this sentiment from my own dealings with yourselves. You respond quickly and are always helpful. No matter how great the challenge (and the party was very short notice) you are always patient and helpful. I really felt completely confident at every stage that everything would be OK and run smoothly which is a huge weight off my shoulders. Thank you for all your help.

I just wanted to mention to yourself how impressed I have been with one of your colleagues, Lucy Smith. My Research Centre has had, and will be having, numerous events at Burleigh Court including more in 2022 as I’m keen to support Imago as much as I can. Lucy has promptly provided quotes and recently was great when ensuring booking a larger meeting room in the hotel as some of our external delegates were nervous about an in-person event because of Covid. We are also planning a 2023 global research conference with well over 300 people attending, and Lucy has promptly provided quotes for this. We are also having a number of future events in 2022 with possible high profile Government ministers attending (I can’t mention who yet as we are receiving confirmation of their attendance plus also for security reasons)-so you will have more requests soon! Keep up the great work Lucy!

I just wanted to drop you a line to say thanks to you both, and also all of the staff at Burleigh Court for making our Executive Briefing event last week such a success. Every single aspect of the whole experience was superb. The venue, organisation, food and especially the staff all combined to make this a very successful and pleasurable event. I have already had some very positive feedback and each one makes reference to the venue and staff. On Friday 10th December, my husband and I brought his 93 year old mother for a two night stay at the Burleigh Court Hotel in Loughborough in order to attend a family wedding (we were in rooms 121 and 124). I had to email to thank all the staff for being so pleasant and helpful, both on the phone calls when booking and asking about check in, and while we were at the hotel. Special thanks must go to the member of the housekeeping staff on the ground floor, whom we met on our way to breakfast on Saturday morning: my mother-in-law was worried she'd flooded the floor of the bathroom while showering, and insisted on apologising to this member of staff (we had explained to her that it was a wet room). When we got back to our rooms after breakfast, her bathroom floor had been mopped! We are well aware that these are very difficult times for the hospitality industry, so we were particularly impressed by this quality of service.
